今回は、青山にあるイタリア輸入のセレクトショップ、Pantelleriaさんのブックをご紹介します。こちらのオーナーは、年に２回、イタリアへお洋服・バッグ・靴などの買い付けへ。ハイクオリティな素材の、大人の女性のカジュアルウェアです。最高の素材でありながら、イタリアならではの遊び心が楽しい、オーナーのセンスでセレクトされてきたお洋服。ショップに一歩入ると、イタリアの香りいっぱいです！現地でオーダーをしてきた商品写真をお客様にお見せする際、あまり素敵なアルバムがない。とのお話しで、カスタムメイドのアルバムを制作させていただきました。カラフルでエレガントなお洋服の写真が沢山貼り込まれたLopiのノートブックは、イタリアの春色に染められました。

ドイツの伝統的な紙染め
先日、Zwillingeというブランドで制作活動をしている友人による、紙染めのワークショップに参加してきました。彼女はドイツにて、製本技術と、伝統的な紙染め”クライスターパピア”の技術を学んできた経験があり、そのオリジナルの紙は、表面は滑らかなのに奥行きのある立体的なもので、初めて見せてもらった時の新鮮な驚きは今でも忘れません。そんな彼女が学んできた紙染めを体験できる貴重な機会とあって、参加してきました。指・爪・筆・くしゃくしゃの紙・・・。材料も道具も身近なものを使ってできるというクライスターパピアですが、人の数と同じだけ、またそれ以上の模様のバリエーションが生まれるという、とても興味深く可能性に溢れ、また温かみのある技術でした。自分で染めた紙が手元に届きましたら、またご紹介したいと思います。素敵に仕上がっていることを願って・・・。
